The 14th Annual March for Life St Augustine is Jan. 18, at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche (101 San Marco Ave). The message this year is “Endangered, Worthy of Protection,” focusing on the worthiness of all human life to be protected especially those with special needs.
The march activities begin with Mass celebrated by Bishop Estévez at 9 a.m. outside (weather permitting) followed by music and information booths. Speakers will take the stage following Mass at 10:20 a.m. for several powerful testimonies. At 11:15 we will march through town to the Plaza de Constitution for the keynote address with Doug Tooke, a national speaker for Youth and Young Adults representing ODB films and the new series entitled Restored.
UPDATE: Congressman John Rutherford will be speaking at the March on Saturday, Jan. 18, following the Mass between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m.
The KOC Council 611 will host a Spaghetti Dinner at the Cathedral Parish Hall in support of the March. MFLSA Friday Night Kick-off is Jan. 17 for the March begins at 5:30 with rosary followed by Mass at 6:00 p.m. The movie Restored will be shown.
